The default alerts contain a pre-defined text that include a set of standard variables, such as a plan\u00a0Name<\/em>,\u00a0phone Number<\/em>, Date<\/em> and Time<\/em> and alert Reason<\/em> with an error description.<\/p>\n

The PhoneNumberMonitoring service supports customized alerts that can be created using Alert Templates. The alert templates allow you to customize alerts by editing default templates. Herewith, the alert templates can be customized for any alert type (SMS, phone, email).<\/p>\n

You can create a new template from within a monitoring plan setup (edit) page under the Alerts<\/strong> tab (select the trigger event first). Or, you can create a new template under Configuration<\/strong> > Alert Templates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Configuring a Template<\/h2>\n

To configure an alert template:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Enter a name (up to 20 alphanumeric characters) for the template.<\/li>\n
  2. Edit the default template for Email, SMS and Phone notifications. Use the variables surrounded by the % symbols in your templates:\n
      \n
    • Name<\/em> – the name of the monitoring plan that generated the alert.<\/li>\n
    • Number – the monitoring phone that generated the alert.<\/em><\/li>\n
    • Time – the time of\u00a0 the alert.<\/em><\/li>\n
    • Date – the date of the alert.<\/em><\/li>\n
    • Reason – description of the event that triggered the alert.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      When completed and saved the alert template will be added to the list of Alert Templates <\/strong>(Configuration > Alert Templates) where it will be available for editing.<\/p>\n

      Adding a Template to a Plan<\/h2>\n

      To add a group to your monitoring plan:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Go to the Monitoring Plans<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
      2. Select a plan in the list and select the Edit<\/strong> action from the plan menu.<\/li>\n
      3. On the plan edit screen, go to the Alerts<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
      4. Under the Alerts<\/strong> tab, select the event you want to be notified about in the Alert if<\/strong> list.<\/li>\n
